Her second article is entitled: Exploring the experiences of UK-based private physiotherapists when running and progressing a physiotherapy business: a hermeneutic phenomenological study.

Following completion of her master's degree, Elizabeth worked part time as a research assistant with the University of Hertfordshire musculoskeletal research unit in collaboration with Bradford University on a project regarding maternal physiotherapy. During this research she co-authored a scoping review entitled Musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice and maternal health: a systematic scoping review
(currently in draft prior to submission for publication).
In March 2024 Elizabeth started a part-time PhD through the University of Hertfordshire entitled: Exploring the views and experiences on physiotherapy-related musculoskeletal health of women living with either Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder or Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome throughout pregnancy and up to one-year post-partum, a mixed methods study.
Elizabeth is experienced in all areas of adult musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has experience in vestibular/dizziness conditions and temporo-mandibular joint disorders/jaw and facial pain.
Complex spinal conditions,
headaches/migraines
and disorders affecting the pelvis and hips are the areas Elizabeth specialises in. In particular she has a special interest in working with people who are suffering from
chronic pain and is a member of the PPA (Physiotherapy Pain Association). Elizabeth also has training in the management of pain-related sleep disturbances. Elizabeth offers physiotherapy-led pain management coaching
sessions.
Fully trained in medical acupuncture, Elizabeth is able to incorporate this into treatment sessions. She is a member of the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists) and attends regular acupuncture CPD training events to continually progress her skills. She also offers acupuncture during pregnancy.
In addition, Elizabeth has a Level 5 Advanced Certified Nutrition Diploma certified by the Association for Nutrition (AfN). Her background in physiotherapy and chronic pain management allows her to offer a unique and holistic approach to nutritional advice.
Elizabeth also has training in psychological therapies for persistent pain conditions. She has training in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Integrating these skills into both physiotherapy
and nutritional advice
management strategies allows her to provide a holistic approach to maximise long-term improvements.
